IFrames don't use the 'value' property, so your second approach was right -- putting the content between the iframe tags. Now, do you know that IFrames are only supported by Internet Explorer and not Netscape Navigator? They are used on almost *no* sites.. so you may want to consider that before using them in your own. They aren't an accepted standard. At any rate, putting <? echo "$news"; ?>, or more preferably, <?php echo $news; ?>, between the <iframe> and </iframe> tags will work, assuming you are using a browser that supports them. Have you tried looking at the source code that is generated by the page?
