Hi, when i began developing websites using php i used pws also, but due to its restrictions on almost every level of usability i tried apache. it is the best and almost easiest installation for webdev. try to use apache with php, and many of installation and configuration problems are away. Only a few good documented properites in the httpd.conf-file must be edited to run the apache (installtion-guides all around the www). CodeDuck www.apache.org for win32 binary install > -----Original Message----- > From: Ziggi [mailto:ziggizag@poczta.onet.pl] > Sent: Monday, July 24, 2000 11:03 PM > To: php-windows@lists.php.net > Subject: Re: [PHP-WIN] Beginer question - installation PHP4 not running > - help ! > > > Shit - when I reboot the system I think I rebooth the server as well... > right ??? > ------------"----------- means "like above": blank page > > I triple checked... > > Do you know how to stop and start PWS from the command line ??? > > Thanks anyway :-) > > Ziggi > > ------------ > "Asendorf, John" <JAsendorf@lcounty.com> wrote in message > > news:620001CE6A56D41189F300B0D02203741B73@exchange.lcounty.com... > > double check that you didn't mistype anything in the registry, ini file, > > etc... > > > > I don't know about PWS but on IIS you have to stop the web service from > the > > command line (doing it in MMC isn't enough)... > > > > Have you tried rebooting the server? > > > > .php should be the way to go. > > > > what do you mean by ----------"---------- is that what the page > displays? > > > > > > > -- > PHP Windows Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) > To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-windows-unsubscribe@lists.php.net > For additional commands, e-mail: php-windows-help@lists.php.net > To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net >
