As was mentioned before, you should only have to change those lines of code that are Windows-specific (Like COM, OLE, Win32 stuff). And maybe file paths... but everything else is portable. I develop all my stuff on Win32, then upload to linux. 99% of the time, it works w/o any code changes. --- Scott Hurring Systems Programmer EAC Corporation ScottH@eac.com Voice: 201-462-2149 Fax: 201-288-1515 > -----Original Message----- > From: toby z [mailto:blue_myth_1@yahoo.com] > Sent: Tuesday, May 07, 2002 9:28 AM > To: php hlp list > Subject: [PHP-WIN] stuck between operating systems & web > servers ! ! ! ! > > > > > ok ... im lost ...... > > i've been working on my site .... i've xp & iis 5 & > php 4.1.2 > now the server that im going to launch my site on is > unix based ...... which i think works with > apache alone ....... > > now i guess im stuck ..... what do i do now ...... > convert all my hard work to unix and apache .... > i believe i will have to change every single line of > code i've coded ... or what ???? > & if i have to .... is there an easier way about it > ... ???? > > guyz .... i'll appreciate any word on this ..... > > thnx a million ...... > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
