I have been successful using the COM module under Apache and PHP4, now I
would like to use it to instantiate the Acrobat Distiller to make Pdf from
Ps files.
I tried to start it with the "PdfDistiller" name as it shows on the Acrobat
doc but with no success. Can somebody gives me a clue?

It will be, but you'll still require PHP to run compiled files. Like you
require Java to run .class files.
