PHP 4.2.1 Form Error

Good Day,
I have just started working with PHP so I apologize for the lack of
understanding but here is my problem.
I run a php based webserver from my house. I have CMS running as my website
that was working just fine up until this morning. My site was running PHP
4.0.6 and it was working just fine with my postnuke applications. This
morning my IIS 5.0 server started giving me HTTP 500 Internal server errors
with everything relating to PHP. I checked through my logs and I couldn't
find anything. I then reinstalled PHP with the newer version. PhP seems to
work again but I keep getting line errors on everything, nothing seems to
run properly. So I d/led the latest versions of PostNuke and vBulletin. For
some reason, whenever I am in a PHP based form script (ie: php install page,
vb admin page) i click the submit to continue on and it just refreshes the
page and it won't continue.
Is there something missing in my PHP ini or something?
