im thinking of programming a gui app that will edit and make changes to the php.ini file, in Visual basic just wondering if i did make the said app, whould ppl use it you think? (yes i see the irony in using a competitor's tech to config another... heh)

I think some people would. I'd be inclined to use it just for the educational value of seeing all of the config options laid out in an easy to change interface. Yeah, I know it's all in the docs. I'm just a lot less inclined to experiment with an ini file when I have to look up syntax for every option. Cary
