Delphi extension dll

Hi List, I'm a newbie with PHP, having just started a couple of weeks ago. I'm very impressed with what it can do "out of the box". I have a few development ideas that will require a custom module, however my main development environment is Delphi, and I'd like to write this module in Pascal. I figure that it is technically possible, though it may not be easy. I have downloaded the source from CVS, and had a good browse around. It appears to me that the skeleton code for implementing a new module is not too difficult to understand. Before I go and re-invent the wheel, has anyone already implemented an extension dll using Delphi? A second question, where would I find a document describing the Zend API?
