$PHP_SELF no longer working on PHP4 upgrade

I just upgraded from PHP3 to PHP4.0.1pl2 on IIS4 on NT4.
Now all references to $PHP_SELF return empty strings...?
Also, some scripts (I haven't debugged them yet to find out what parts) don't work the same.
Does anyone know of documentation or similar problems concerning this?
