I'm working on a project where I've developed a small script that takes
information from a form, formats it and sends off to an email address.
It works perfectly on UNIX hosts, but the client we have now is running
Windows NT 4.0 They do have PHP installed, and it does process
.php3 scripts (They've got PHP 4). Anyway, when it tries to mail
something I get a timeout error like so:
Warning: Failed to Receive in common.inc on line 1
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in
common.inc on line 1
Some other info is that they have the email server inside a firewall, but
they have ASP scripts that send mail and work fine. I believe the SMTP
and sendmail_from settings are correct in the php.ini file.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Is it on the
server end or something in the script?
