Yes. I *AM* in a position where I must use WebSite Professional rather than
Apache. Several of the websites on the windows machine use iHTML which I have
yet to get to work properly with Apache (on top of the fact that Inline
Software, the manufacturer of iHTML refuses to even so much as release a beta
of a version compatible with Apache2) O'Reilley Software produced WebSite
Professional until 2000, when they spun it off to Deerfield Software, which no
longer supports any version before 3.0, therefore I can't even get them to
respond to my questions.
We have a linux box, but would like to slowly migrate a few websites on the
windows server to PHP, especially the database stuff simply because there is
more open-source stuff available for databases under PHP than for iHTML.
(especially the amazon stuff) Resources are fairly limited, (A P2-333 with
256Mb) so running Apache on the same server isn't really an option... Also,
the main web designer connects to the server by simply accessing the drive,
otherwise I'd dump him to Linux.

I've already checked that. It won't do anything even as simple as moving data
between variables, forms (I was trying to do a very simple form script wich
would take information from the URL and input it into the form automatically)
And it DEFINITELY won't connect to my MySQL server. globals is set to ON in
php.ini

There seems to be a memory leak in the CGI version. I also tried using just
the exe, but that seems rather insecure to me.

I'm forced into using NT4 simply because the server doesn't have enough free
disk space to bother with trying to install Win2K. The whole hard drive is
set to allow everyone authenticated by the domain to do anything. Since we
don't use any of the built-in windows internet services other than DNS, and
the firewall blocks netbios access, it's fairly secure without bothering to
increase security.
