odbc connection to as/400 db2

Hello list, I've searched the lists and the internet but failed to get an answer to my problem. regarding a connection with an ibm db2 database using php on a windows 2000 webserver. I use php 4.2.3 and apache 2.0.39 on a windows 2000 server. I have created a DSN with the ODBC drivers (32 bit) and the odbc works as I can browse the database using MSAccess or Winsql using a user that has select rights. But when i use the PHP odbc connect function nothing happens, the browser keeps loading the page and does not time out. So this is even before I start executing a query. I saw a listitem regarding NT4 that told me to assign a username to the apache server and let that user be allowed to log on as a service. That did result in a succesfull connection but all my queries are returning SQL7973 . This has got to do something with packets creation but I know almost nothing of DB2 itself. I only like to get some records through odbc...... Has anybody has some answers? Is it really so hard getting this odbc connection to work? With regards, Wim Blanken GIS Consultant The Netherlands
