ftp_put error

I'm trying to upload a file from Linux to Win 2000. I can open an ftp connection (ftp_connect) with no problem, but when I try to send the file using ftp_put, I get an error that says "Unable to find ftpbuf 0 in path/to/my/script.php." I have not been able to find the cause or any way to eliminate this error. Any help would be appreciated.
