IIS5.1 page loading REALLY slow

Hi Having a prob with my XP Pro system with IIS and php integrated. When I goto my machines network ip (aka 192.168.***.***) in Internet Explorer nothing happens for a bit. It is like it is trying to connect to the server. Other people have the same problems on the network when accessing my machines IIS server. If I load the page with localhost it runs VERY VERY fast. I have tried everything I could think off. DNS could be a posib??
