Did you set up apache as a service using the Admin account, and now you are running as a normal user ? You will have to either install it as yourself, or use the MMC command running as root user : eg open an MSDOS box, type in
runas /user:admin mmc
then type in the admin password, and choose services and close it down. Should get the same with MySQL admin, but in fact it provides a nice login as user box to run it & close it down, so no need there.

Ok, my question; I installed all the above software, when I want to shut down my computer it says Apache is still running. This is correct. I can not close down Apache in the Apache Service Monitor. I can see at the monitor that Apache is running, but I can't close it down or start it up. Does this have anything to do with a wrong installation or bad settings? I now have to close Apache by using the Task Monitor. Thank you in advance. Best Regards, Anton Steijn
