PHP 4.3.2 is Slower & Can't Echo to the CLI

I noticed that compared w/ 4.2.3 (the last working
fdf/tk until now) that the CLI will not echo
correctly... it takes 30-60 seconds and then a
whole page is echoed... also simple scripts seems
to take minutes instead of seconds...
