On 2000-08-22, Giuseppe D'Ambrosio stated:
} <?php
} $word=new COM("word.application") or die("Cannot start word for you");
} print "Loaded word version ($word->Version)\n";
} $word->visible =1 ;
} $word->Documents->Add();
} $word->Selection->Typetext("Dit is een test");
} $word->Documents[1]->SaveAs('c:\temp\php-com-test.doc);
} $word->Quit();
} ?>
}
} it opens M$ word, creates a doc., writes that in Typetext property and saves
} the file, finally closes word.
As someone who is just getting started in COM, I have to ask a dumb
question: The above works fine on my local PC, but if folks attempt to go
to my w3 server and run the above code, it doesn't save the file to their
drive. It does load Word up just fine on their PCs, but it won't save a
file no matter what path I give it. This is a *good* security feature, but
is there any way to have the file saved on their PC [via a prompt or
something?]
Thanks!
