I have a question concerning that also. How do you access MYSQL though windows. I have tried simple Quires but it returns an error. Did I not install the thing right?
Install MySQL on Windows, set up permissions properly. Install PHP and a web server on Windows. If PHP4+, then MySQL funcitonality is built in and the mysql_* functions are available. Start mysqld (or mysqld-shareware --standalone, to be more precise), script something, access it. What errors are you getting? If they're "cannot connect" errors, then mysqld probably isn't running. If they're related to username and password, then your grant tables aren't correct. And so on. - julie +------------------------------------------------+
