I am trying to send mail with the mail() function. My environment is Win2K proffessional. IIS5.0 and my email server is Outlook. This is the error I'm getting when i try to send mail. i have changed the php.ini file for: SMTP = my mail server ------------------------- Creating socket Successfully created socket! That server requires authentication to relay messages on it. The mail() function does not support authentication. You may want to try this other class that comes with a wrapper function named smtp_mail() that emulates the mail() function but lets you specify the authentication credentials: http://www.phpclasses.org/mimemessage You will also need this: http://www.phpclasses.org/smtp -- Regards, Manuel Lemos Free ready to use OOP components written in PHP http://www.phpclasses.org/
