I don't BELIEVE pws4 & 98 would be a problem... but it's not the most robust
installation of php, that's for sure (just joshing :)). Anyway, if you're
Linux box is configured for smtp transport (which it better be :)), then you
should be okay. Check your login information in your mail client to make
sure you've got all the connection info squared. Then, edit your php.ini to
reflect these settings. Look for a section entitled [mail function] and
tweak the settings to match...
[mail function]
SMTP = yourmailserver.yourdomain.com ;for win32 only
sendmail_from = yourusername@yourdomain.com ;for win32 only
;sendmail_path = ;for unix only, may supply arguments as well (default
is sendmail -t)
Also, make sure you have the sendmail_path line commented out & that the
sendmail_from username/email is a VALID user on the SMTP server :) Don't
forget to stop/restart pws to force a reload of php.ini - and force a
little-brain-clear.
Let us know if that does anything, or if you've already got those settings
straight. Also, make sure that those SMTP settings are showing up in a call
to phpinfo().
