Yes I have been slowly working through the manual, which has helped alot.
I'm not sure on the issue raised, which is better A or B
(A) <?php echo "<html><body>.......</body></html> ?>
or
(B) <html><body><?php .... ?> xxxxx <?php .... ?> xxxx </body></html>
