Just tried it with: $date = "10-10-97"; AND $date = "10-10-1997"; AND both of those with / instead of - with combinations of $sql = "INSERT INTO [FrontpageNews] (date, headline, place, author, story) VALUES ('$date','$headline','$place','$author','$story');"; AND $sql = "INSERT INTO [FrontpageNews] (date, headline, place, author, story) VALUES (#$date#,'$headline','$place','$author','$story');"; AND $sql = "INSERT INTO [FrontpageNews] (datevalue(date),headline, place, author, story) VALUES (#$date#,'$headline','$place','$author','$story');"; AND $sql = "INSERT INTO [FrontpageNews] (datevalue(date),headline, place, author, story) VALUES ('$date','$headline','$place','$author','$story');"; Still no dice. I'm beginning to confirm what most of you already think... I'm an idiot... --------------------- John Asendorf - jasendorf@lcounty.com Web Applications Developer http://www.lcounty.com - NEW FEATURES ADDED DAILY!
