I have duplicated the problem reported in PHP bug 6883 using the following
environment:
NT 4.0 SP5
PHP 4.02
Interbase 6.0 (WI-V6.0.0.627}
Apache 1.3.12.
My Apache log (error.log) showed:
[Mon Oct 02 06:42:40 2000] [error] [client 24.8.18.17] Premature end of
script headers: c:/php/php.exe
My Interbase.log file showed
C9510-B (Server) Mon Oct 02 20:23:00 2000
INET/inet_error: read errno = 10054
I cannot get this working, so I punted an tried the Interbase ODBC drivers.
They are working, so I think I can use them until this bug is fixed and
distributed. If you go looking for the Interbase 6.0 ODBC drivers, they are
not published on the Interbase.com site. As far as I can tell, they were
not built for the 6.0 release. According to the Interbase FAQ, you must
download the 5.6 release and install the ODBC drivers (use the client
install program and deselect everything but ODBC). Set up ODBC data source
and things should be cool.
