I think you could use session objects or have every form have hidden inputs
that have everything else. The former might be better for alot of fields.
<?
session_start();
session_register('form');
if(isset($HTTP_POST_VARS)){
$form=$HTTP_POST_VARS;
}
?>
<form name='1' ...>
<input name='1a' value='<?=$form['1a']?>'>
....
</form>
<form name='2' ...>
<input name='2a' value='<?=$form['2a']?>'>
...
</form>
