Hi, thanks for the suggestion.
I do have that extension enabled, here is a screen shot from my php.ini file
and here is a screen shot of enabled extensions from the output of phpinfo().
I can make LDAP connections from this server, just not LDAPS connections (and I've created the c:\OpenLDAP\sysconf\ldap.conf file and put "TLS_REQCERT never" inside which is what I had to do on my other PHP server to get past the SSL certificate validation issue I was experiencing).
I think my problem lies with this portion of the phpinfo() output. On this server the protocols section shows as follows...
Notice it doesn't list "ldaps". Here is the protocols section of the phpinfo() output from a server where I have LDAPS working
