I downloaded the DLL from download.swwwing.com. It is recommended (well, more than recommended - I'd say required) to run extensions ONLY when downloaded/installed with a MATCHING compiled binary of PHP. A current copy of the GD dll is available with php4.0.3 (along with a lot of other extensions) from http://www.php4win.de. Download and install php4.0.3 from there, following the included directions (basically match the main win32 install instructions on php.net). You shouldn't need to copy ANY extension DLLs to the windows or windows/system directories, as they are loaded from whatever directory is specified by "extension_dir" in your php.ini. Most win32 users on this list use the php4win binaries, and NOT the ones from swwwing.com, as the folks at php4win recompile the source and extensions regularly (whenever new CVS releases come out), and they are also regular contributors to this list - so they're never too far away. -- Andy Hoffman Web Developer Bristol-Myers Squibb email: andy.hoffman@bms.com
