You must allow Apache to execute CGI in the directorys ...
you must add the ExecCGI in the directory-directive in httpd.conf:
<Directory "c:/yourserverroot/htdocs">
#
# This may also be "None", "All", or any combination of "Indexes",
# "Includes", "FollowSymLinks", "ExecCGI", or "MultiViews".
#
# Note that "MultiViews" must be named *explicitly* --- "Options All"
# doesn't give it to you.
#
Options All
AllowOverride All
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>
ATTENTION: the lines above are LOW-security for developing only!!
the second thing is:
apache must know which type of application the .php-files are:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php4 .php
and then, apache must know what to do with these files:
Action application/x-httpd-php /cgi-bin/php4/php.exe
