How do I use LibCrypt with php4win.de's latest build?????

I need to use the encryption for user authentication coupled with data in
the user table in a database, and I can see that crypt is built into PHP but
I'm not sure this is what I need because it looks like it is based on Unix
encryption and I need Windows. I saw that you can download libcrypt.zip
from their site but then what?
