Hi, I am just starting to learn PHP, and just got into this problem with preg_match function. I am trying to execute this php script; <?php $browser_type = getenv("http_user_agent"); if (preg_match("/MSIE/i", "$browser_type")) { echo "Using Microsoft Internet Explorer."; } else if (preg_match("/Mozilla/i", "$browser_type")) { echo "Using Netscape Communicator."; } else { echo "$browser_type"; } ?> But the browser just gives me this error message; Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function preg_match() in C:\Apache\www\public\htdocs/php_exer/browser_match.php on line 3 I know this is a question not worth spending time on to most of you, but to a novice like me this can be pretty frustrating. I appreciate your help!
