Hi All
I would like a little advice on how to handle the data involved in my
current project.
I work for a High School, which, being typically South African,
revolves around sport. Excellent. The administration of the sports
results is an area I am working on. Currently all the results are
phoned to the local newspaper. (Verbally!). We have to add them
manually (HTML hard code) onto our website.
I would rather the results were punched once into a web form and
mailed to the newspaper, as well as stored locally in our website's
Access database for our use.
I have created forms for cricket and rugby so far, but have come
accross a little problem: All is fine entering results on at a time,
except that a seperate e-mail gets generated for each result
submission. Do I use a sessioned "Array of Records" as I once
used to use in Turbo Pascal, to collate the results, then use that to
generate one e-mail. Does such a thing exist? I have only just (two
static variables) tried session variables out. I don't quite know if
they are working. I will find out sooner or later though.
The code listing for cricket is attached if anyone would like to take
a look. Please feel free to criticise my style/efficiency if it is poor.
Thank you
Budgee
