OK, I had our network administrator do that, but it still seems to be
causing me a problem.
The actual error message is:
PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 604B0AE1
Warning: failed to rollback outstanding transactions!: ORA-03114: not
connected to ORACLE in D:\directory\cc_res_search\res_search.php on line 0
I'm using OCIPLogon and Logoff in my script and NEVER do I do anything
besides a SELECT statement. So I'm not really sure what it expects to have
rolledback...
When I use ocilogon, it works flawlessly, but it takes FOREVER (15 - 20
seconds) to get my search results back...
I'm wondering if it has something to do with having the form and the search
occuring on the same page. (using an if statement to decide whether to
parse the keywords or put out a form)
The code is very long, but the highlights are:
<?PHP
//testing persistent logon
echo "DEBUG:--->connecting oracle";
echo "DEBUG:--11111--------------------------<>";
//$connection=ocilogon("inet","inet","orcl");
$connection = OCIPLogon("inet","inet","orcl");
if (!$connection){
echo "DEBUG:------2222----------------------<>";
echo OCIError($connection).":".OCIError($connection)."";
exit;
}
if (isset ($some_keywords) ) {
//blah blah blah, make SQL select statement from boolean stuff
echo "<br />SQL: $sql";
echo "<br />";
$stmt = OCIParse($connection,$sql);
// $stmt now contains a statement handle which is ready to execute
(prepped)
OCIExecute($stmt, OCI_DEFAULT);
// $stmt now contains a statement handle which POINTS to a recordset
// OCI_DEFAULT denotes default cursor type
echo "<table border=\"1\">\n";
while (OCIFetchInto($stmt, $row, OCI_ASSOC)) {
// FetchInto fetches directly into a record array and
// OCI_ASSOC makes that array associative by the field names
$res_date = $row[RES_DATE];
$description = $row[DESCRIPTION];
$page = $row[PAGE];
$book = $row[BOOK];
echo "<tr><td nowrap
valign=\"top\">$res_date</td><td> </td><td><a
href=\"$book-$page.pdf\">$description</a></td></tr>\n";
}
echo "</table>";
echo "\n<br /><a href=\"res_search.php\">New Search</a>";
echo "DEBUG:LOGGING OFF -------------->";
OCILogoff($connection);
}
else {
//make a form that points back to this page with a keywords in it
}
?>
Thanks in advance everyone
