Word COM, sooooo close, having trouble with visible, Hey Alain!

I'm sooooo close to making COM work for me. I'm obviously not a VBA programmer (hell, sometimes I doubt that I'm a PHP programmer) but I can't seem to make the "visible" part of Alain's phpbuilder COM article work ( http://www.phpbuilder.com/columns/alain20001003.php3 ). I've tried: $word->Visible = 1; $word->Visible = True; I'm using Word 2000 and the Word VBA help says that the correct syntax is Visible = True so I gave that a try instead of the visible = 1 (which I guess should be the same result) The item is viewable in the Task Manager, but I can't switch to it... and I also can't end it from the task manager. Other than that, it is working just fine. Makes the document, saves it, etc.... I just can't see it in action.
