Installation problems PHP4.0.3pl1+Sybase DLL

Dear list, I'm having some problems setting up PHP4 with the Sybase DLL. I'm using the binary build from php.net. The Open Client Runtime is installed (from 11.9.2), and the DLL is enabled in php.ini. I've tried this on two machines, one running Windows 98SE and Apache, and the other running NT4 and IIS. On the 98/Apache machine, PHP crashes with an invalid page fault when trying to sybase_connect(). On the IIS machine it just stops responding. Has anyone got any experience with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
