Undefined Index

: ) hi all, why am I getting a error saying : Warning: Undefined index: a1 in index.html on line 12 the code used in line 12 is $end = $HTTP_COOKIE_VARS["a1"] ; it gets the address and sends it to a file called setcookie.php it has another two fields that are working just fine : $cnome = $HTTP_COOKIE_VARS["n1"] ; $email = $HTTP_COOKIE_VARS["e1"] ; they're in index.html and it sets the cookie but, if you fill a form and leaves the addrees blanked then the error comes :( the code in setcookie.php is : if ( isset ($end) ) { setcookie("a1", "$end", time()+9999999); } BTW, it only happens in php 4.0.3 and yes, track_vars and register_globals are ON thanx fabiano coelho
