One of two possibilities...
1) The extension dll in question, php_imap.dll, wasn't located in your extensions directory
(which looks to be set to the same dir as your php.exe). Copy the php_imap.dll into the same
directory as is specified by "extension_dir" in your php.ini.
2) Apache doesn't like your "extension_dir" setting specified with back-slashes... I
know
Apache can be particular about this with other extensions (namely oci8) - Note that the error
message had back-slashes up to the point of the actual extension name, and then used a
front-slash. Try changing your "extension_dir" setting in php.ini to use ONLY
front-slashes
instead of back-slashes.
Of course, all this assumes that you're using a copy of php4.0.3 which includes the imap
extension dll.
