Hi,
I have problems with setting security in Apache 1.3.12 on Windows NT
I set in httpd.conf the following directives:
AccessFileName htaccess.txt
<Directory />
Options FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride AuthConfig
</Directory>
and the following files
htaccess.txt
------------
AuthUserFile Rights\user
AuthGroupFile Rights\group
AuthName "Restricted Area"
AuthType Basic
Require valid-user
Rights\user
-----------
user1:pass1
user2:pass2
user3:pass3
Right\group
-----------
admin: user1
user: user2 user3
The system asks me for a valid login/password
but it always reject the password I type
What was wrong ?
PS: I tried the htpasswd utility in both mode MD5 and plaintext.
