displaying a swf file

Hi all I'm using the following code:

Header("Content-type: application/x-shockwave-flash");
readfile("test.swf");
?>
when I run the following the shockwave flash file isn't sent to the browser
like with images anyone got any ideas please.
I have also tried calling from a html file:

but still the movie is not outputted to the screen.
please help
