calling COM with Parameters

Hi, I wrote an ActiveX Component with a public function that takes strings as Arguments (It allows you to change WinNT Passwords). Now I can successfully call this function with ASP passing it the parameters. PHP is able to load the ActiveX Component but hangs on the function call with the parameters. If I set the parameters into ActiveX properties and then call the function without parameters, so that it uses the properties everything works. So it looks to me as if it is impossible to call ActiveX Component functions with parameters. Anybody else? Any ideas?
