I am not sure, but just a suggestion :
when I use ODBC and Oracle, I do the following :
- first, set the correct parameters in the tnsname.ora (that is connection
name, server etc...)
- second, make a new odbc connection (Start/Settings/control panel /ODBC
datas source), with a new name and referring to the tnsname.ora !
- last, connect to odbc via the ODBC name, not the tnsname.ora name...
