Slight problem with PHP_SELF

When I uses $PHP_SELF as part of a URL on my Windows 98 / PHP 4 / Apache 1.3.x setup the variable returns the following (example): http://localhost/php4/php.exe/tfc/news.php?newsid=776 Where I was expecting it to return: http://localhost/tfc/news.php?newsid=776 Everything still works but it's a bit ugly and I doubt it's gonna help things when I start using relative paths between pages etc. Any ideas?
