Zend Optimiser adds overhead for optimising the code.
An obvious reply to your question is that since optimised code runs faster
than non-optimised code,
you will receive a speed benefit when there are loops in the code. For
example, looping through an array or recordset.
Be aware that database connections are slow, so avoid redundant loops when
connected to the database.

I use Win32 PHP4.0.1 with Zend Optimizer installed, but it seems that
my PHP pages don't show faster than whitout Zend Optimizer. in contrast,
it seems take more time in page loading. How can I feel the another 40%
to 80% faster accord with Zend says.
