Install on WINNT

I am having trouble sending headers through the mail() function. It is strange I have two NT servers and one will send the headers and the other won't. They both have identical ini files and they are both running off the same mail server. When I send mail with headers I get a returned error message saying "server error on line....". As soon as I limit the mail function to "to, from, subject" it is fine. Is there a port than needs to open for the mailheaders?
