If you are using the ISAPI module of PHP for IIS, it won't work with the
system calls, IIS doesn't allow creating new processes, you have to use the
CGI version

It seems as if these functions do not work at all. I try "print `echo
hello world`;" and nothing happens. Safe mode is set to off So I know that
isn't it and I am using php 4.04. Any ideas or clues on what I must be
doing wrong?
