Access denied, sounds like the user who is running the web process don't have access to open the file php_mssql70.dll. I prefer to install ALL php files in one directory: c:\php4. Set extension_dir = c:\php4 and give full access to c:\php4 to IUSR_<mschine name> (the default user for the web site). This way It is easy to control php versions and I don't have to search for old copies of extensions etc. Some extensions, like MSSQL, requires external libraries to work. The MSSQL extension will only work if you install MS SQL Client tools on the maschine running php. If php is running on the same maschine as the MS SQL Server these tools are installed with the server. If you are running php on a separate server you need to install the client tools from the server CD. - Frank >I've installed the latest release of php under Windows 2000 Server and it >works!
