Eelco, You don't need to compile anything yourself (unless you really want to) on Windows. Your problem is more related to an incorrect extension_path setting in php.ini, which makes that PHP cannot find the dll you are requesting. Make sure that your extensions path is set correctly, and I bet it will work !
