PHP3/4 Extensions (modules)

I use PHP4 under Windows 98SE with PWS, and have had luck similar to several other people who have been unable to get extensions to work under Windows. http://download.swwwing.com has the extensions or modules, but does not seem to have any documentation on how to get them to work under Windows. No information on extensions appears anywhere in the FAQ (I searched pretty thoroughly, though I may have missed something). Most of the posts I've read in response to some of the admittedly vague or lazy questions said "Download from download.swwwing.com" ... well, then what? If someone could point me to some documentation on how to get these things to work (as it doesn't seem to be a simple matter of tossing module DLLs into the php\ or windows\ dir and editing the php.ini extensions section) I'd really appreciate it. If no such documentation exists, I'd be happy to write it myself and submit/post it somewhere on the Web, if someone would tell me how it's done. Thanks. -- O.
