sending POST data with header()?

I can redirect a page like
header("Location: newurl.htm");
but how can I extend this to pass POST variables along?
(*NOT* GET vars, or cookies, or session vars, or
include()ing the next file... I want to do it with POST
vars. It's a long story.)
