As namespace are new (did not exist in previous version), I don't think it can break any code. It is possible to argue that one will use php4 (!!!) code together with namespace and that will not work. A quick look in the namespace documentation willl teach him that his code should be updated to use the normal constructor (which exists since 4-5 years).
