PEAR and PECL see modifications to the package list a bit more often, and it's less closely watched, so the externals would become out of date reasonably quickly. It would be potentially possible to automate it, but we've been more concerned with getting SVN completely stable before playing around. If you want to look into the necessary code on your own, feel free to look in SVNROOT/ for the post-commit setup. -- Gwynne
