Hi, I'm setting up a multi php version environment with phpfarm and plan to give my users access to pyrus. The server I'm setting up doesn't have direct access to Internet. Instead it has to go through a http proxy. I haven't been able to get pyrus to work through the proxy. This is what I do: > ./phpfarm/inst/php-5.3.2/bin/php ./phpfarm/inst/php-5.3.2/pyrus.phar set http_proxy "http://myworkingproxy:myport" > ./phpfarm/inst/php-5.3.2/bin/php ./phpfarm/inst/php-5.3.2/pyrus.phar install pear/HTTP_Download-1.1.4 Pyrus version 2.0.0a3 SHA-1: BE7EA9D171AE3873F1BBAF692EEE9165BB14BD5D Using PEAR installation found at ppp Warning: fopen(http://pear.php.net/rest/p/http_download/info.xml): failed to open stream: Unable to find the socket transport "http" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP? in phar:///[snip]/phpfarm/inst/php-5.3.2/pyrus.phar/PEAR2_Pyrus-2.0.0a3/php/PEAR2/HTTP/Request/Adapter/Phpstream.php on line 59 PEAR2\Pyrus\Channel\Exception: package HTTP_Download does not exist PEAR2\Pyrus\REST\Exception: No cached content available for "http://pear.php.net/rest/p/http_download/info.xml" I've also tried setting the $http_proxy variable but that doesn't make any difference. The proxy is a squid3 and works fine with for example wget after setting $http_proxy. The proxy doesn't require any authentication. On an other server, with direct Internet access, the pyrus install command above works fine. Please advise on how to get pyrus to work with a http proxy. Kind Regards, Olof
