Hi, I've just received a PECL bug (#3868) concerning the crack extension. There seems to be a new cracklib version released on SourceForge (2.8.2) that breaks compiling. Sadly, somone has taken the cracklib's artistic licensed code and released it as GPL. This seems wrong. Is it acceptable for a PECL extension to support linking against a GPL library? Wouldn't that need to make the extension (and also PHP) licensed under the GPL? Just hope someone can clear this up for me.As long as there is a non-GPL library it can link against, it is fine. -Rasmus
